FROM THE EXHIBITION ARCHIEVE: We’ve pulled some old shots from the archive – and discovered this mid-file. The picture captures one of Trude’s early 2000s exhibitions in Germany, and features three of her earlier works. As an artist Trude has always drawn inspiration from identity, emotion and sub-cultures. As an “early bird” on both rock’n roll and grunge culture – embracing what she experienced as wholeness of embracing both lighter and darker aspects of life, the human condition and the strive for identity. While it’s easy to replicate the look of that era today through fashion and aesthetics, the true essence of that time was far less polished. There is a certain nerve in seeing these works against a concrete wall; it strikes that the curation of this exhibit might have been the only thing ‘perfected’ that day.
